Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Crystal Lake, IL (Onsite, Daily)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team in Crystal Lake, IL. This is a fully onsite role that requires daily presence at the facility to effectively collaborate with operations, finance, and leadership teams. The Cost Accountant will focus on maintaining accurate costing data, analyzing variances, and providing insights to support financial decision-making and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on role that combines analytical work with direct collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing costs, identify variances, and provide recommendations for improvement

• Maintain and update standard cost systems within the ERP platform

• Perform inventory reconciliations and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities

• Prepare detailed cost analysis reports for management review

• Collaborate daily with operations, finance, and leadership teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting

• Support pricing decisions and profitability analysis through detailed costing insights

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
