Immediate Opening: Cost Accountant

Location: Ellettsville, Indiana

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Immediate Opening: Join Our Team as a Cost Accountant

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant in cost analysis, inventory management, and financial reporting within a production/manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in shaping cost standards and driving data-informed decisions using advanced Excel tools and MAPICS.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on costs related to raw materials, inventory, and production processes

• Develop and maintain cost standards for manufacturing operations

• Utilize MAPICS (Manufacturing Accounting Production Information Controls System) for accounting and production control

• Build and manage Excel dashboards using advanced functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

• Support month-end close activities, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cost accounting, with a focus on raw materials and inventory

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production-based environment

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including dashboard creation, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUPs

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret cost data

• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead small teams

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
