The Role: We’re looking for a Creative Writer to craft compelling storylines, dialogue, and narrative arcs for our upcoming Season Pass. This is a contract role, focused on delivering high-quality narrative content that deepens player engagement and drives the season’s theme forward. You’ll work closely with our Product Leads to ensure the storylines connect with gameplay, resonate emotionally, and scale across different content drops. What You’ll Do:

• Write storylines, character arcs, dialogue, and lore for the upcoming Season Pass.
• Collaborate with Product Leads to align narrative with gameplay mechanics and seasonal objectives.
• Rapidly iterate on story concepts based on feedback.
• Deliver polished scripts and supporting narrative documentation on time.
• Ensure tone, style, and themes are consistent with Pocket Worlds’ brand and player expectations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong background in creative writing, narrative design, or screenwriting (games, TV, comics, or interactive media preferred).
• Proven ability to develop characters, themes, and story arcs that resonate with broad audiences.
• Comfortable with fast iteration. You don’t get precious about drafts, you get better with feedback.
• Excellent communicator who thrives in collaboration.
• Portfolio of past narrative work (short stories, scripts, dialogue, narrative game design, etc.).
