Ability to work independently typically 40 hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during work hours, typically 8-5 or as defined by the school. Essential Functions : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. Ensure conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development, and coordination activities; research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards as needed. Help articulate the school's mission and vision to ensure all stakeholders have a common understanding and are positioned to work cooperatively to achieve desired results; utilize communication technologies effectively to support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment. Ensure the school meets the needs of students while complying with local, state, and federal laws regarding special education and other categorical programs (such as Title I, LAP, CTE). Interface with students, families, local municipal court systems, and local districts regarding compliance related to student attendance and engagement as defined by school policy and student handbook expectations. Develop and oversee the implementation of the school's Student Achievement Improvement Plan. Supervise and evaluate teaching staff; manage teacher performance, develop, and provide necessary training for professional development; manage Master and Lead Teachers and programs. Confer with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral issues; coordinate with teachers and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals. Supervisory Responsibilities : Directly supervise 15-30 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees and/or contractors. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Minimum Required Qualifications : Previous supervisory experience Master's degree and Five (5) years of educational experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to clear required background check Other Required Qualifications : Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web tools. Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc. Desired Qualifications : Previous experience as an online educator Previous administrative experience Work Environment : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
