Senior Backend Engineer - World Modeling Team
Help Build the Future of AI Systems

Do you dream about designing complex systems from first principles? Are you energized by the challenge of teaching machines to understand human concepts? We're seeking an exceptional Backend Engineer to join our World Modeling team in building groundbreaking AI systems.
The Role

As a key leader on our World Modeling team, you'll architect and build the foundational systems that our AI agents use to understand and interact with the world. You'll tackle fascinating challenges like:

Designing how AI systems model and comprehend accounting concepts
Creating elegant abstractions for complex business domains
Developing the rules and constraints that govern AI agent behavior
Building scalable data architecture for AI interactions

What You'll Bring

5-10 years of experience building complex systems (Python preferred)
Track record of owning technically challenging projects from 0 to 1
Strong first-principles thinking and system design capabilities
Passion for building and scaling complex interconnected systems
Experience leading technical teams and mentoring others

The Details

Compensation: $100k - $300k based on experience
Location: New York City (Flatiron)
Schedule: Full-time, in-office
Visa: Sponsorship available
