The Operations Manager oversees total operations at the warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Duties include training new employees, monitoring compliance with safety standards and fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing and storing inventory according to purchase orders and standard operating procedures.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing total operations including the Pack/Ship and Warehouse teams.
  • Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
  • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
  • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
  • Maintain open and consistent line of communication with Pack & Ship and Wholesale to ensure all products needed for orders are readily available
  • Ensure warehouse team is adequately trained to ensure a seamless receiving process; knowing and understanding shipment schedules
  • Perform regular inventory walkthroughs to ensure inventory numbers are accurate, pulling down stock from the overstock area to ensure the Pack and Ship team have adequate inventory to pick from.
  • Implement a consistent cycle count schedule to ensure that through daily picking and packing, returns, and exchanges, that inventory counts remain consistent and accurate.
  • Ensure warehouse is kept clean and organized daily
  • Contributes to a positive work environment.
