Role Summary:
We're seeking a detail-oriented, responsible Cost Accountant to support the Finance Team under the direction of the Controller. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a high level of integrity, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze operational cost data.
• Estimate costs for new and existing products.
• Develop overhead rates and analyze manufacturing variances.
• Ensure item cost accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Support physical inventory counts and monitor inventory systems.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and help reduce excess/obsolete inventory.
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist with audits.
• Support forecasting, indirect tax filings, and intercompany reporting.
• Contribute to month-end close and reporting using TM1.
• Maintain documentation, assist with policy development, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (focus on cost accounting preferred).
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information.
• Proficient in accounting software; experience with MRP/ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred).
